Get the vintage look, right in your browser

Warm faded tones, soft grain, gentle contrast — the vintage film look used to mean hunting down expired film stock. Halcyon recreates it on any photo in seconds, with real per-pixel grading that runs entirely on your device.

What makes a photo look vintage?

Vintage photos share a few signatures: blacks that are lifted instead of deep, colors shifted toward warm amber or cool teal depending on the film stock, slightly reduced contrast, and a fine grain texture. Halcyon's film-inspired presets recreate these traits with real tone curves, split toning, and grain — not a simple overlay.

How to get the best vintage result

  1. Pick a film-inspired preset, then lower the intensity slider to 50–70% for a believable finish.
  2. Use the before/after slider to check that skin tones still look natural.
  3. Download your graded photo — it saves at full resolution, ready to share.

Why filter in the browser?

Halcyon processes every pixel locally with real grading algorithms — tone curves, HSL mixing, split toning, and grain. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and there is no account. Your photo stays yours.
